Bismarck 4 @ MN Wilderness 3 – Bismarck started strong and fended off a late Wilderness rally to complete a weekend road sweep thanks to a 4-3 win on Saturday night. Bismarck jumped out to a 4-0 halfway through the game as Oskars Batna scored two power play goals, while Cullen Willox also added a power play goal and Evan Giesler scored shorthanded. The Wilderness made a comeback attempt behind goals from Brett Heikkila, Billy Exell and Darian Romanko. Hunter Shepard picked up the win, making 33 saves. Boxscore

Soo 4 @ Springfield 1 – Jack Berry made 35 saves to help the Eagles to a weekend road sweep of the Springfield Jr. Blues thanks to a 4-1 win on Saturday night. The Eagles jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st period on goals from Will Gauthier and Mitch Vanderburg. The Jr. Blues cut the lead to 2-1 early in the 3rd period on a goal from Garrett Jenkins, but the Eagles would respond with two more goals from Denver Pierce and Drew Holcombe to make the final 4-1. Odessa 2 @ Lone Star 5 – Thanks to a three-point night, including two goals from Quinn Carroll, the Lone Star Brahmas completed a weekend sweep of the visiting Jackalopes in front of a sold out crowd of over 2,400 fans. The Jackalopes jumped out to a 2-1 lead after one period thanks to goals from Derek Brown and Leo Lumm. Peter Kessel scored for the Brahmas. The Brahmas would then strike for two goals in the 2nd and 3rd period to put the game out of reach, including two goals from Carroll and others from Caleb Thompson and Sebastian Vidmar. TJ Black made 20 saves in the win. Boxscore

Kenai River 2 @ Johnstown 5 – Casey Linkenheld scored two more goals to lead the Johnstown Tomahawks to a 5-2 win, completing a weekend sweep of the Brown Bears. Kenai River jumped out to a 1-0 lead on an early goal rom Joey Sardina. That was answered by five straight goals from the Tomahawks, including two from Linkenheld and others from Brady Bender, Josh Bowes and Trevor Recktenwald. Matt Rudin added the other goal for Kenai Rover. Jake Gwillim picked up the win in goal, making 25 saves. Boxscore

Janesville 0 @ Coulee Region 3 – Adam Carlson stopped all 29 shots that came his way for his 4th shutout of the season as the Chill snapped Janesville’s 10-game winning streak with a 3-0 shutout win at home over the Jets. Adam Lovick had the eventual game-winning goal in the 2nd period and Eddie Matsushima and Richard Zehnal added 3rd period goals. Zehnal added assists on the other two Chill goals. Blake Weyrick made 27 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Brookings 3 @ Austin 1 – Ryan Kubic made 17 saves as the Blizzard picked up a 3-1 road win on Saturday night in Austin, taking three of a possible four points during the weekend. Nate Colwell opened the scoring in the 1st period for the Blizzard and Zach Glienke added two goals in the 2ndperiod to put the Blizzard ahead 3-0. Liam Feeney scored the lone goal for the Bruins, which came midway through the 3rd period. Jake Kielly made 10 saves in the Bruins loss. Boxscore

Aberdeen 0 @ Minot 5 – Tanner Holmes stopped all 20 shots that came his way for his second shutout of the season as Minot blanked Aberdeen. Five different players scored for the Minotauros, which included a four-goal, 2nd period. Blake Lizotte, James Mathias, Max Mettler and Colton Kramer scored four goals in a 12-minutes span and Johnny Walker added a 3rd period goal. Kramer and Walker also picked up assists. Chad Catt made 28 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Wenatchee 1 @ Topeka 3 – Matej Tomek made 22 saves as the RoadRunners picked up a 3-1 win on Saturday to take two of three games in their weekend home series with the Wild. Carlos Fornaris scored twice, including the game’s first and last goals. Came Strong would assist on both the tallies. The RoadRunners went up 2-0 on the 2nd period goal from Mike Gornall. Wenatchee would spoil Tomek’s shuout bid with 2:07 remaining on a power play goal from Ryan Chiasson. Fornaris added the empty-net goal with :26 seconds remaining. Wild goalie Michael Bullion made 25 saves in the loss. Boxscore

Fairbanks 3 @ Keystone 2 – The Fairbanks Ice Dogs snapped the Keystone Ice Miners win streak thanks to a 3-2 win on Saturday, earning a weekend split of their road series. The game started on the right note for the Ice Dogs, who took a 2-0 lead in the 1st period on a pair of goals from Jacob Hetz. Keystone would answer early in the 2nd period on a goal from Brendan Jaquay, who scored his 4th goal in as many games. Hans Gorowsky answered back for the Ice Dogs with the eventual game-winner late in the 2nd period. Michael Maiden added a 3rd period goal for the Ice Miners, but 32 saves from Kevin Aldridge kept Keystone at bay the rest of the game. Boxscore

Amarillo 5 @ Wichita Falls 8 – The Wildcats scored six times in the 2nd period on their way to an 8-5 home win over Amarillo to take two of three games against the Bulls during the week. Jake Townsend and Max Reisinger each scored twice in the win. Amarillo led 4-1 at one point thanks to goals from Will Harrison, Cody Gylling, Trent Dillinger and JJ Huerena. The Wildcats would respond with the two goals from Townsend and Reisinger, as well as, others from Jonathan Lazarus, Nikita Litviak, Nick Farmer and Kevin Charyszyn. Farmer also ended up with a three-point night. Gylling scored twice for Amarillo. Boxscore
