Former Magicians defenseman Brierley makes NCAA DI commitment

The Minnesota Magicians of the NAHL are pleased to announce that former Magicians defenseman Taylor Brierley has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Union College of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
 
Brierley, a native of East Grand Forks, Minnesota played the entire 2014-15 season with the Magicians in addition to the first half of the current 2015-16 season before being called to the United States Hockey League (USHL) to play for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders.  
 
Brierly (5’10/170) played in 19 games this season with the Magicians from September through mid-November, recording five points and a +6 rating.
 
During his tenure with the Magicians, Brierley established himself as one of the team’s most reliable defensemen. In 76 career NAHL games, he registered one goal and 11 assists for a total of 12 points. 
 
In 28 games with the Roughriders this season, he has already surpassed his point totals with the Magicians by scoring two goals and adding 11 assists for a total of 13 points.
