The Aberdeen Wings, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that captain and defenseman Tanner Okeson has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Okeson, 21, spent three years in the NAHL playing for the Wings. The native of Roseau, Minnesota, appeared in 172 career NAHL regular season games, recording 62 career points (14 goals, 48 assists).

This past season, Okeson (6’2/190) had 21 points in 58 games played. He also recorded an assist in three playoff games. Okeson was also selected to and played in the 2016 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team. In two games at the event, Okeson had two goals.

Concordia College finished the 2015-16 season with a 10-14-2 overall record including a 8-7-1 conference record.  The Aberdeen Wings Organization would like to wish Tanner the best of luck in his college career and as he begins the next chapter in his life.
