Springfield goalie Greenfield-Flemon makes NCAA commitment

February 23, 2017
The Springfield Jr. Blues, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), have announced that goaltender Jordan Greenfield-Flemon has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Norwich University.

Norwich University is an NCAA Division III powerhouse that is located in Northfield, Vermont. The Cadets have won 18 of the last 19 New England Hockey Conference Championships and made the NCAA tournament in 6 of the last 7 years, including winning the 2009-10 NCAA Division III National Championship.

Greenfield-Flemon, 20, says he is excited to play for such a prestigious hockey program. “I am very excited to play for such a strong, well-known hockey program. The team and coaches have been very successful and I am looking forward to continuing my hockey career at Norwich.”

The location from the school also played a factor for Greenfield-Flemon, a native of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. “I liked the area and also since (Norwich) is closer to Canada, everything seemed like a great fit for me.”

Greenfield-Flemon has played in four games in the NAHL this season (one with Aston, three with Springfield) and has a record of 1-2-0-0 to go along with a 2.14 Goals Against Average and a .942 save percentage.
