NAHL extends partnership with Digital Auction Showdown (DASH)

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced it has extended its partnership with DASH, Digital Auction Showdown, as the preferred digital auctions provider for the NAHL, North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) and North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) for the 2017-18 season.
 
DASH is the only digital auction platform built specifically for sports teams and their fans to enhance a fan's experience before, during & after a game right from their mobile devices. Teams in the NAHL had tremendous success this past season using DASH. In all, 11 teams in the NAHL used DASH for a variety of online auctions that have become synonymous with teams in the NAHL. 
 
Teams are not only using DASH to broaden their auction audience and improve their auction efficiencies, but also using DASH auctions to put butts in seats, support brand/partnership activations and populate their sales pipelines.
 
“The feedback from our teams using DASH was nothing but positive. DASH provided all of our teams with an outlet to really get creative with their online auctions and it was a great opportunity that everyone benefitted from.” said Alex Kyrias, Director of Communications, Marketing and Sales for the NAHL. “Whether it was an game-used item, piece of memorabilia or some type of experience, the technology is such that DASH provides both fans and teams with a very good experience that utilizes the latest technology.”
 
DASH was founded in 2015 by Jonathan Hufnagel in Plano, Texas. Jonathan started his career in sports with FC Dallas, Major League Soccer.  It was working at FC Dallas that Jonathan recognized the opportunity to launch DASH, Digital Auction Showdown. He noted the struggles, and opportunities, the Team’s Foundation Director was having with her team memorabilia auctions.  The auctions were rudimentary pen and paper auctions with little fan engagement and money raised. With the prevalence of smart phones in every fans’ hand, Jonathan recognized the potential in digitizing the team auctions. Through the auctions, fans could connect with their favorite teams in an emotional and engaging way, and at the same time get their hands on the most authentic memorabilia and team experiences.
 
"DASH is excited to continue our relationship with the NAHL, NA3HL and NAPHL to continue building out our Digital Auction Platform for all teams,” said Jonathan Hufnagel, Founder of DASH. “We had great success this past season in connecting fans with their favorite players and teams.  What we learned in our first year as a business, is that every time a fan downloaded DASH, it meant $35 in revenue per fan for the respective club. For every bid placed, it resulted in $174 in revenue per fan for the respective club.
