Saturday Scores: Gibson leads Brahmas to road sweep

Austin Dollimer had a big weekend, which included helping Minot snap the Austin Bruins winning streak on Saturday night.

Lone Star 4 @ Kenai River 1 - Steven Ipri netted a goal and an assist as the Lone Star Brahmas wrapped up their Alaska road trip with a 4-1 win. Frankie Trazzera, Aidan Spellacy and Connor Stuart all found twine in the Lone Star victory. Mitchell Gibson earned the win in goal for the Brahmas. Tyler Miknich had the only goal for Kenai, Kevin Lake was stuck with the loss.
 
Coulee Region 2 @ Fairbanks 4 - The Fairbanks Ice Dogs wrapped up their weekend with a 4-2 win over the Coulee Region Chill. The Ice Dogs have now won 13 in a row thanks to a goal and an assist by John Stampohar. Nolan Schaeffer, Tanner Schachle, and Jack Johnston all lit the lamp for Fairbanks. Logan Neaton only needed to make 12 saves to earn his 10th win of the year. Connor Zilisch and Hunter Canestra scored for Coulee Region while Emil Zetterquist turned aside 29 shots. 
 
Philadelphia 4 @ Johnstown 1 - Four different Rebels found the back of the net as Philadelphia topped Johnstown 4-1. Alex Frye, Kolby Vegara, Jimmy Glynn and Aaron Maguyon all scored for the Rebels in the win. Ryan Keane stopped 19 of 20 shots to pick up the win in goal. Carson Briere scored the lone goal for Johnstown while Kade Phipps made 24 saves.
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 3 @ New Jersey 6  - Andrew Husted and Wade Novak each had a goal and an assist as the Titans doubled up the Knights 6-3. Jimmy Down Jr. also scored and had a helper. Tyler Antonucci, Kyle Jeffers and Ryan Wheeler all notched goals in the win. Matt Ladd stopped 33 shots for the victory. Jack Olmstead, Michael Morrissey and Gabe Temple scored for the Knights. Christian Stoever made 24 saves.
 
Odessa 1 @ Amarillo 2 (SO) - Trey Bagwell was the only one to score in the shootout and it was enough to give the Amarillo Bulls the win. Jason Grande was spectacular as he made 40 saves and stopped all three Jackalopes in the shootout. Egor Kurbatov scored the only goal in regulation for Amarillo while Ricky Carballo scored the lone goal for Odessa. Alex Camarre was dealt the tough loss despite making 31 saves. 
 
Shreveport 0 @ Corpus Christi 1 - The Mudbugs put 31 shots on goal but they could not figure out the puzzle that was Jake Acton as the Corpus net minder secured his first shutout of the season. Matt Novo had the only goal of the game, Matt Acciaioli and Trevor Wilhelm picked up the helpers. Jaxon Castor only allowed one goal and stopped 21 shots for Shreveport.
 
Janesville 4 @ MN Magicians 3 (OT) - Tanner Polglaze picked up his second overtime game winner in as many weekends as the Jets split the weekend series with the Minnesota Magicians. Benji Eckerle netted his first two goals of the season while Jakov Novak scored as well. Ben Schultheis tied the game for Minnesota with five seconds remaining, Matthew Stanton and Brendan Skarda also lit the lamp for the Magicians. Garrett Nieto got the win as he turned aside 24 shots. Isaiah Saville stopped 36 shots in the loss.
 
MN Wilderness 3 @ Aberdeen 2 (OT) - Ondrej Trejbal fired home the game winner that ended Aberdeen’s winning streak at the 2:29 mark of overtime. Edward Lindelow and Nicholas Michel scored for the Wilderness in regulation. Ryan Fanti earned his 13th win of the year by making 34 saves. Colton Fletcher and Nic Sicoly potted goals for the Wings while Matt Vernon made 19 saves.
 
Springfield 2 @ Topeka 3 - Dallas Tulik’s two goals carried the Topeka offense as they outlasted Springfield 3-2. Jakub Urbanek notched his fourth goal of the year as well in the win for the RoadRunners. Sam Metcalf got the win in between the pipes as he made 16 saves. Marcus Walter had a goal and an assist for Springfield and Shane Haviland also scored. Evan Fear turned aside 33 shots.
 
Brookings 1 @ Bismarck 4 - Adam Stacho’s three points led all skaters as the Bobcats earned a split with the Brookings Blizzard on Saturday night. Simon Morberg also had a three point, one goal and two assists. Matej Murin, Jacob Marti and Alex Trombley found the back of the net in the win. John Roberts was almost perfect, allowing just one goal on 28 shots. Josh Boyer was the only member of the Blizzard to beat Roberts while Adam Brizgala stopped 32 shots. 
 
Austin 1 @ Minot 2  - Keenan Lund and Austin Dollimer both had a goal and an assist as Minot ended the Bruins’ winning streak Samu Lonkila was incredible as he made 21 saves, allowing just a single goal. Travis Kothenbeutel remained red hot as he netted yet another goal for the Bruins. Mads Sogaard stopped 27 shots in the loss.
