The 6’0/185 lbs. native of Bytca, Slovakia, pointed to several reasons why he decided to commit to Lake State. “It's a very good organization, they have a long and great history.” Aside from the program’s storied history Mucha had other reasons to select LSSU, “they are located right on the lake and it's just across to bridge to Canada! It’s going to be a good place for me to develop as a player and a person.”

Tauros Head Coach and General Manager Marty Murray praised Mucha’s development in Minot. “I’m very happy for Miroslav, he came to us last year and found a roll. He played really well the last dozen games and playoffs last year. This year he picked up right where he left off and was the first player in the league to 20 goals.” As for what he will bring to the next level Murray said, “he has a unique combination of size, speed, and skill. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do here the rest of the year and beyond.”

Mucha as well pointed to his time in Minot as being the key to moving on to play NCAA DI hockey. “Minot has been very good. The experience of Coach Murray, Wags and also Nigel from last year, taught me how to do things professionally; and they always try to give me the best answer they can to help me out.”

Aside from the Tauros coaching staff Mucha had a lot of people he wanted to thank. “My parents who made this all possible for me and sacrificed a lot of things. My coaches and teammates from both years for making the time in Minot unforgettable, my billets who take care of me every day and making me feel like at home! And of course the best fans in the league.”
