Saturday Scores: NAHL weekend full of shutouts and splits

Zach Krajnik and the Kenai River Brown Bears own a four-point lead atop the Midwest Division after a weekend sweep.

Lone Star 0 @ Amarillo 6 - It was all Amarillo on Saturday night as the offense provided a half-dozen goals on the evening. Logan Jenuwine scored two of those goals while Brenden Datema, Jason Brancheau, Jordan Venegoni and Brendan West chipped in as well. Brett Abdelnour and Alex Peterson each had two helpers in the win. Ryan Winter made easy work of the 21 shots thrown his way to earn his first shutout of the season. Harrison Feeney made 20 saves for the Brahmas, while Wes Mankowski made 12. 
 
Chippewa 2 @ Kenai River 3 - The Kenai River Brown Bears stayed atop the Midwest Division with a 3-2 win over the Chippewa Steel. Connor Scahill and Zach Krajnik each scored a goal and had an assist. Justin Daly also scored for Kenai River. Gavin Enright was great in goal as he allowed just two goals on 22 shots. Filip Dusek and Grant Reichenbacher scored for the Steel and Jackson Bernard made 23 saves.
 
Brookings 0 @ Austin 4 - The Austin Bruins scored three first period goals and never looked back as they blanked the Blizzard 4-0. Garrett Dahm had a goal and an assist in the victory. Dante Sheriff, Ian Mageau and Devon Fields all lit the lamp for the Bruins as well. Kyle McClellan made 16 saves and got the win. Jack Caruso took the loss for Brookings and made 38 saves.
 
Maryland 4 @ Northeast 2 - The Maryland Black Bears picked up a victory as they doubled up the Northeast Generals 4-2. Quinn Warmuth and Lukas Ljungblom had a goal and an assist. Thomas Jarman and Daylon Mannon also scored for the Black Bears. Patrick Choi handed off three assists while goaltender David Tomeo made 31 stops. Louis Boudon provided all the offense for Northeast with a pair of goals. Marko Sturma made 37 saves in the loss.
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 @ New Jersey 3 - The New Jersey Titans brought the Knights winning streak to a halt as they shutout Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 3-0. Matt Ladd stopped all 26 shots thrown his direction. Gavin Gulash, Zach Nazzarett and Christ Garbe provided the offense for New Jersey. Josef Glamos had two assists in the win. Samuel Vyletelka took the loss despite making 43 saves.
 
Jamestown 2 @ Johnstown 4 - Samuel Solensky scored a goal and added an assist as the Johnstown Tomahawks defeated Jamestown 4-2. Carson Briere, Andy Nedeljkovic and Mitchell Hale also found the back of the net for the Tomahawks. Kade Phipps got the win in goal as he made 24 saves. Konur Peterson and Jake Felker scored the goals for Jamestown and Ryan Keane suffered the defeat as he made 26 saves.
 
MN Wilderness 2 @ MN Magicians 3 - John Keranen’s three-point night was enough for the Magicians to pick up the win on home ice over the Wilderness. Andrew Kruse scored the other goal for the home club. Ethan Haider picked up his fourth win of the season as he made 32 saves for the Magicians. Isaac Kobienia and Gino Lucia scored for the Wilderness and Ryan Fanti made 36 stops in the loss.
 
Topeka 0 @ Springfield 3 - The Jr. Blues picked up a weekend split as Caleb Hannon stopped all 34 Pilots shots to pick up his second win and first shutout of the year. Max Brainin scored two goals while Ryan Reid scored a goal and an assist. Ben Schmidling and Nick Techel each had two helpers on the night. Sam Metcalf got the loss for Topeka, he made 22 saves.
 
Bismarck 2 @ Minot 5 - A four goal third period led the Minot Minotauros to a Saturday night win against the Bismarck Bobcats. Keenan Lund scored two goals and an assist. Didrik Henbrant and David Raisanen each had a goal and an assist as well. Fritz Belisle also found the back of the net for Minot. Nicholas Grabko got the win between the pipes as he made 29 saves. John Roberts made 33 saves but was given the loss.
 
Janesville 0 @ Fairbanks 5 - The Ice Dogs earned a weekend split with the Janesville Jets as the Ice Dogs shutout the Jets, 5-0. Luke Ciolli and Jax Murray found the back of the net twice while Jack Johnston scored as well. Nate Reid only faced 18 shots, but he made sure none of them went into the net. Cole Brady took the loss in the crease for Janesville, making 12 saves.
