Friday Finals: Jackalopes snap Bulls streak

Brookings forward and Army commit Kendrick Frost had three points to help the Blizzard extend their point streak to three straight games with a 4-2 win in Bismarck on Friday.

Odessa 5 @ Amarillo 3 - James Crossman had two goals and the Odessa Jackalopes brought the Amarillo Bulls 12-game winning streak and 20-game point streak to an end. Jack Conroy, Michael Sacco, and Connor Smith each tallied a goal and an assist. Alex Camarre was excellent in goal as he made 36 stops. Logan Jenuwine continued his impressive play as he got on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist. Brett Abdelnour and Brendan West lit the lamp for the Bulls as well. Jason Grande was dealt the loss, he made 36 saves. 
 
MN Wilderness @ Minot 4 - The Minnesota Wilderness continued their recent hot streak as they once again knocked off the Minot Minotauros, this time by a score of 5-4. Isaac Kobienia scored a goal and added two assists while Dylan Johnson potted a pair of his own. Luke Dow also had a goal and an assist for the winners and Ashton Altmann also scored. Ryan Fanti earned the victory in between the pipes as he made 42 saves. Joseph Harguindeguy, David Raisanen, Fritz Belisle and Vince Marino all found the back of the net for Minot. Nicholas Grabko made 18 stops. 
 
Brookings 4 @ Bismarck 2 - Kendrick Frost had three points and the Brookings Blizzard won their second consecutive game, defeating the Bismarck Bobcats 4-2. Brady Bjork had a goal and an assist while Bud Winter and Ryan Green each tallied a goal. George McBey got his third win of the year by stopping 29 shots. Ryan Robinson and Daniel Chladek had the only tallies for Bismarck. John Roberts turned aside 36 shots in the loss.
 
Aberdeen 6 @ Austin 3 - The Aberdeen Wings franchise record for wins is now up to 13 as the Wings doubled up the Bruins 6-3. Brad Belisle knocked in two goals and added an assist while Nic Sicoly also picked up a pair of goals. Thomas Rocco and Stepan Pokorny each scored for Aberdeen. Matt Vernon made 22 saves in the blue paint for win number 22. Joseph Winkelmann had two points in the loss for Austin, Lane Krenzen and Connor Mylymok both found the back of the net. Brett Miller took the loss in goal as he made 22 saves.
 
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 @ Jamestown 3 - Ryan Keane made 17 saves to pick up his 2nd shutout of the year and the Jamestown Rebels defeated the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 3-0. Antonio Venuto, Alex Frye and Noah Finstrom all scored for Jamestown in the win. Samuel Vyletelka stopped 26 shots in the loss.
 
Johnstown 5 @ Maryland 0 - The high powered Johnstown offense was at it again as they dismantled Maryland 5-0. The league’s leading scorer, Samuel Solensky, added four points to his total as he scored once and had three assists. Carson Briere and Roman Kraemer both scored and had an assist as well. Chad Merrell and Oliver Benwell tallied goals for Johnstown. Carter McPhail earned his first shutout of the season as denied all 31 shots thrown his way. David Tomeo made 35 saves in a losing effort.
 
Shreveport 0 @ Corpus Christi 4 - The Corpus Christi IceRays halted their four game losing streak as they shutout the Shreveport Mudbugs 4-0. Brian George was perfect in net and improved to 3-0 on the year as he stopped all 40 shots fired his way. Kyle Moore led the IceRays with two goals while Santeri Hartikainen and Michal Juscak each had a goal. Leo Chuard was given the loss in this one as he made 39 saves.
 
Topeka 2 @ Lone Star 4 - Blake Evennou had two goals and a helper, Scott Persson had three assists and the Lone Star Brahmas took control of the fourth seed in the South Division by defeating Topeka 4-2. Matt Guerra notched a goal and an assist. Andrew DeCarlo also scored for the Brahmas. Harrison Feeney now has 10 wins on the year after making 20 saves. Austin McCarthy and Valdemar Ahlberg scored for Topeka. Emil Gransoe took the loss, he stopped 28 of 32 shots thrown his way.
 
Springfield 1 @ Fairbanks 8 - Jax Murray’s hat trick led the Fairbanks Ice Dogs rout of the Springfield Jr. Blues as they won late Friday night by a score of 7-1. Jack Johnston and Tanner Edwards each had a goal and two assists while Tyler Deweesehad a goal and an assist. Ty Proffitt and Grant Ledford also lit the lamp for Fairbanks. Nick Techel scored the only goal for Springfield. Nate Reid got the win in goal while Jack Williams was dealt the loss.
 
Chippewa 6 @ Kenai River 2 - Killian Kiecker-Olson had a goal and two assists while Matt Clark lured two goals away tone as the Steel defeated the Brown Bears 6-2. Isaac Moberg added two goals of his own to increase the Chippewa lead. Igor Samokhvalov made 25 saves in the win while Gavin Enright and Dennis Westergard combined for 22 stops. JJ Boucher notched a goal and an assist while Zach Krajnik also found the back of the net.
