Jr. Blues pick up big road win against Magicians

Cade Groton had a goal and an assist in a 4-1 win on Thursday night.

Springfield 4 @ MN Magicians 1 - The Springfield Jr. Blues started off their three-game road trip to Minnesota in style with a 4-1 win in Richfield against the 1st place Magicians on Thursday night. Cade Groton and Nigel Nelson each had a goal and an assist and Janis Voris made 25 saves in the win. The teams were even at 1-1 after the 1st period as Groton scored first for Springfield, while John Keranen answered back for the Magicians. Springfield then blew the game wide open in the 2nd period with three goals including tallies from Caden Villegas, Ben Schmidling, and Nelson. Aaron Swanson picked up a pair of assists in the win. Magicians goalie Jack Robbel took the loss, allowing four goals on 15 shots. Boxscore
