Bruins move closer to playoff spot with win

Dante Sheriff assisted on all three Bruins goals in a 3-1 win on Wednesday night.

MN Wilderness 1 @ Austin 3 – Dante Sheriff assisted on all three goals as the Austin Bruins moved closer to clinching a playoff spot thanks to a 3-1 home win on Wednesday night over the visiting Minnesota Wilderness.
 
The Bruins were first to get on the board as Jared Christy potted his 20th goal of the season with an assist to Sheriff. The Wilderness tied the game later in the period as defenseman Ondrej Trejbal netted his 11th goal of the season with assists to Luke Dow and Ryan Nelson.
 
In the 2nd period, the Bruins netted the eventual game-winning goal as Ben Almquist tipped home a shot with assists to Sheriff and Jed Pietila to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead.
 
Late in the 3rd period, Hugh Larkin added an empty-net goal with assists to Sheriff and Lane Krenzen. 
 
Bruins goalie Kyle McClellan made 25 saves in the win, while Wilderness goalie Ryan Fanti made 28 saves in the loss. The loss was the 7th straight for the Wilderness, who dropped a game below .500.
