Less than a month remains in the 2018-19 NAHL regular season and with all 24 NAHL teams in action again this weekend, the race to the finish line hits full stride.

This weekend is full of plenty of opportunities for more teams to clinch berths in the 2019 Robertson Cup Playoffs with spots in the Central, Midwest, and South Divisions statistically on the line.

In the Central Division, the Aberdeen Wings look to lock up the regular season title with a big series in Minot against the Minotauros. Meanwhile, Minot has playoff dreams of their own, as they are just one win away from securing a post-season berth. The Bismarck Bobcats also have playoffs on their mind as they have not lost a game in regulation in their last 12, dating back to February 1st. The Bobcats are in Clouqet to take on the Minnesota Wilderness, who face a must-win situation, having lost their last seven straight games. The other series has the Austin Bruins just points away from clinching a playoff spot as they tangle with Brookings in a home-and-home series.

In the East Division, the big race is for the 4th and final spot as the Northeast Generals sit one point ahead of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights with just nine games to play. The Knights are on the road in Jamestown to face the Rebels, while the Generals will be at home to face the regular season champion Johnstown Tomahawks. Meanwhile, the New Jersey Titans look to close in on a playoff spot as they travel to Maryland to face a Black Bear team that has just one win in their last 10 games.

In the Midwest Division, both Springfield and Janesville are just one win away from clinching the final spots in the playoffs in the division. The Jr. Blues continue their series with the Chippewa Steel this weekend in Springfield, while the Jets continue their three-game set in Fairbanks. The Jets lost to the Ice Dogs on Friday, 3-0 despite 50 saves from goalie Cole Brady. With the win, the Ice Dogs lead in the division increased to four points thanks in part to the Kenai River Brown Bears beating the Minnesota Magicians on Thursday, 3-1. The Magicians have lost three straight games and will be in Kenai River for two more games this weekend.

In the South Division, more playoff spots could be clinched this weekend, which includes the 2nd place Lone Star Brahmas. The Brahmas face a big series against Corpus Christi, as the IceRays look to continue to put distance between them and Topeka for the 4th and final playoff spot. The Pilots face almost a must-win situation with a road series in Shreveport against the Mudbugs. With a couple of wins this weekend, the Mudbugs can also lock themselves into a playoff spot. The division champion Amarillo Bulls continue their quest for the league’s best record as they host the Odessa Jackalopes for a pair of games.
