Odessa defenseman Fedorek makes NCAA DI commitment

March 25, 2019
The Odessa Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that defenseman and captain Connor Fedorek has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Ferris State University in the WCHA.

Fedorek, 19, is in his third season of playing hockey in the NAHL. The 6’0/185 lbs. native of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, is having his best career season in 2018-19. Fedorek has recorded 32 points (8 goals, 24 assists) in 55 games played so far this season.

Fedorek has spent three seasons playing in the NAHL. He made his debut with the Kenai River Brown Bears during the 2016-17 season and was traded to Odessa during the 2017-18 season right before the trade deadline.

In 126 career NAHL regular season games, he has recorded 49 points.

"They do a really good job at moving guys on to the next level," Fedorek said about the Ferris State program. "I'm really excited to go in next year and make an impact in my first year and go from there.”

Fedorek is the seventh Jackalopes player on the roster this season who is committed to play NCAA hockey.
