The Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Aaron Myers has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Bemidji State University in the WCHA.
Myers, 19, just completed his first season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’11/175 lbs. native of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, led the Wilderness in scoring during the 2018-19 season with 50 points (17 goals, 33 assists) in 57 games played.
Myers was also selected to and played in the 2019 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the NAHL Selects Red team.
“We are absolutely thrilled for Aaron. He was a tremendous, hard-working player for us this past season and Bemidji is getting a great 200-foot player and an even better young man,” said Wilderness Head Coach Dave Boitz.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Myers played three years for Thief River Falls High in Minnesota, where he had 81 points in 69 games.
