Brahmas snap skid with shutout of Jacks on Thursday

October 24, 2019

Brahmas goalie Ludwig Persson stopped all 24 shots that came his way for his league-tying third shutout of the season.

Lone Star 2 @ Odessa 0 - The Lone Star Brahmas snapped a four-game losing streak thanks to a 2-0 shutout win in Odessa in the lone NAHL game on Thursday.

Former Jackalopes forward and Army recruit Eric Huss had the game-winning goal for the Brahmas and Lone Star goalie Ludwig Persson stopped all 24 shots that came his way for his league-tying third shutout of the season.

After a scoreless 1st period, the Brahmas got on the board midway through the 2nd period as Thomas Daskas won a face-off deep in the Jackalopes zone back to Huss, who wristed a shot on goal that eluded Jackalopes goalie Aaron Randazzo for the first goal of the game and the eventual game-winner.

The Brahmas added an insurance goal midway through the 3rd period as Matt Guerra scored his second goal of the season with an assist to Sam Brennan.

Randazzo made 27 saves in the loss.
