November 27, 2019

WBS Knights goalie Zach Stejskal made 40 saves in 3-1 road win against Maine in the lone NAHL game on Tuesday night.

WBS Knights 3 @ Maine 1 – Knights goalie Zach Stejskal made 40 saves as the Knights picked up a 3-1 road win in Lewiston against the Nordiques in the lone NAHL game on Tuesday.

The Nordiques got on the board first late in the 1st period as Isaiah Fox found Kevin Pitts in the low slot from behind the net for a 1-0 lead and Pitts’ 7th goal of the season.

In the middle of the 2nd period, the Knights tied the game as Mike Manzo’s shot from a tight angle snuck through the blocker of Maine goalie Connor Androlwicz to tie the game at 1-1. Just over a minute later, the Knights took the lead for good as Johnny Kaljian skated towards the net and was the recipient of a nice pass from Anthony Mastromoncia to put the visitors up, 2-1.

Midway through the 3rd period, Zak Currie scored his 11th goal of the season to add some insurance for the Knights as he beat Androlewicz high to the glove side.

Androlewicz made 37 saves in the loss, which was the 4th straight setback for the Nordiques, while the Knights are now 3-0-1 in their last four games.
