Lone Star defenseman Digby makes NCAA D1 commitment

December 9, 2019
The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Mitchell Digby has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the Air Force Academy of Atlantic Hockey.

Digby, 19, is in his first season of playing junior hockey in the NAHL. In 17 games played this season for the Brahmas, the 5’11/181 lbs. native of Ottawa Lake, Michigan has become a steady and reliable presence on the blue line.

In addition to his two goals and five assists, he has a +3 rating so far this season.  He will join fellow Brahma Defenseman Sam Brennan at the Air Force Academy next season.

Digby joins current Lone Star Brahmas teammates and Air Force commits Sam Brennan and Thomas Daskas as future members of the Falcons hockey team.

Digby announced his commitment via Twitter. “Honored to announce my commitment to play Division 1 hockey at United States Air Force Academy. Can’t thank my past and present teammates and coaches enough for helping me get to where I am today!”
