Kenai River forward Moline makes NCAA commitment

March 26, 2020
The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Cody Moline has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Moline, 20, just completed his second and final season of playing junior hockey in the NAHL for the Brown Bears. The 5’7/160 lbs. native of North Branch, Minnesota, had a career season in 2019-20, recording 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in 49 games played.

Moline had 11 points in 52 games played during the 2018-19 season with Kenai River. Overall in his two-year NAHL career, Moline has recorded 44 points in 101 career games played.

“We are excited for Cody to earn this opportunity. Stevens-Point is getting an extremely hard worker and a great human being. Cody has worked hard to earn this opportunity, in going to a school that competes for a National Championship on a early basis.  We wish him the best of luck in this next step of his career,” said Kenai River head coach Kevin Murdock.

Prior to playing in the NAHL, Moline had a standout career with North Branch High School in Minnesota, where posted 130 points in 74 career games.
