St. Cloud goalie Metcalf makes NCAA commitment

The St. Cloud Blizzard of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that goaltender Sam Metcalf has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Bethel University.
Metcalf, 20, just completed his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’4/194 lbs. native of Waterloo, Iowa, appeared in 19 games during the 2019-20 season for the Blizzard, posting a 4-11-2 record with a 4.42 goals against average and a .882 save percentage.
Metcalf made his NAHL debut with the Topeka RoadRunners during the 2017-18 season. During the 2018-19 season, he would split time between Topeka and later played for the Janesville Jets.
Overall in his three-year NAHL career, Metcalf appeared in 70 games and posted a record of 19-37-6 with a 3.70 goals against average and a .891 save percentage with one career shutout.
