Minnesota would tie the game just about midway through the third as Jacob Herter lit the lamp for the fourth time this season. Jacob Zacharewicz had 20 saves on the night to earn the win while Carter Clafton stopped 29 saves in the loss.

Lone Star had a 2-0 lead early in the first period as Blake Benson and Joey Baez found the back of the net. Amarillo would get things even just before the end of the first period with two goals in the final minute from Sean Vlasich and Nick Martino.
