Magicians forward Christy makes NCAA commitment
The Minnesota Magicians of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Robert Christy has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Saint John’s University.
Christy, 21, is in his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’0/185 lbs. native of St. Paul, MN, has recorded 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in 39 games played so far this season.
Christy was selected to and played in the 2022 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team.
Christy made his Magicians and NAHL debut during the 2019-20 season and had a good rookie campaign with 23 points in 35 games played.
During the 2020-21 season, Christy put up 12 points in 35 games played.
Overall in his three-year NAHL career, Christy has played in 109 career games and recorded 48 points.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Christy played four seasons of high school hockey in Minnesota for St. Thomas Academy.
