May 2, 2018

The Philadelphia Rebels, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce that forward Brandon Stanley has committed to play NCAA Division I Ice Hockey for Niagara University. The Purple Eagles are members of Atlantic Hockey. His commitment begins in the fall of 2018.
Stanley, 20, was fifth on the team with thirty-two points (18 goals and 14 assists) during the regular season. He led the team with nine points (5 goals and 4 assists) in eight playoff games. He also led the team with five post-season goals.
The 6’1/200 lbs. native of Sioux Lookout, Ontario also was selected to and played in the 2018 NAHL Top Prospect Tournament this past February for the East Division team.
“I’m really excited to sign with Niagara University and move on to play hockey at the next level,” stated Stanley. “I am extremely thankful to my parents and all of my coaches and teammates who have helped me get to where I am going.”
“Brandon is a big, strong forward who can really skate,” said Rebels head coach Joe Coombs. “With more maturity and consistency, he should have the opportunity to play past college. Stan is a great teammate who is very fun to be around. We wish him nothing but the best in the future.”
Niagara University is located in Niagara Falls, NY. The Purple Eagles are coached by Jason Lammers. They had an 11-22-3 record this past season.
