The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Andrew Seminara has committed to play NCAA hockey for Marian University in the NCHA.
The 6’2 lefty from Dearborn Heights, Michigan is heading to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to skate with the Sabres in the fall. Seminara is a second-year veteran of the Mudbugs. This past season, he hit the ice in 50 games, tallying four goals and seven assists. The ‘04 forward made his NAHL debut last year where he laced up in 54 contests, finding the back of the net twice while making four assists. His two goals for the season were scored in a mid-December game against the Colorado Grit, where he found the back of the net twice in the first 15 minutes of play.
Head Coach of the Mudbugs, Jason Campbell, shares the impact that Seminara has had on the team.
“Andrew is big, strong, mean, and can play the game of hockey. He’s your typical power forward who gets goals in the dirty areas of the ice and provides extra room on the ice for his teammates to play into. He does a great job on the penalty kill, has a great shot, and is your ultimate team guy. He’s going to do great and we are very excited for his future at college and beyond.”
Seminara is one of seven members of the Shreveport Mudbugs to make a college hockey commitment.
