Amarillo defenseman Patterson makes NCAA DI commitment

The Amarillo Wranglers of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Pierce Patterson has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Army-West Point in Atlantic Hockey.
Patterson, 20, is in his first season of playing in the NAHL for the Wranglers and second season of junior hockey overall. The 5’10/170 lbs. native of Austin, TX, is currently 2nd in team scoring with 23 points (4 goals, 19 assists) in 29 games played.
His 23 points is in the Top 10 in scoring among all NAHL defensemen.
“I’m proud to announce my commitment to play Division 1 college hockey at Army West Point. I would like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, billets, and everyone else who’s helped me along the way,” said Patterson on social media.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Patterson played youth hockey for Deerfield Academy for three seasons.
