Warriors launch anti-bullying challenge

The Michigan Warriors of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) will begin another home series this Friday, as they take on the Johnstown Tomahawks October 17-18 at Perani Arena.
On Saturday October 18th the Warriors will have their Anti-Bullying challenge game followed by a skate after with the team. Any kid that signs an Anti-Bullying Pledge will receive a free ticket. During the game the Warriors will have a “take a stand against bullying” banner that will be displayed for all to see. All kids will be able to sign that banner and let everyone know that they will take a stand against bullying.
In addition to the pledges and the banner we will have all the kids that signed those on the ice to say the pledge as we record it and put it on the internet. To get ready for this event the Warriors have gone around to elementary schools in the area to host Anti-Bullying Assemblies to the kids. In doing the assemblies and the Anti-Bullying challenge we hope to raise awareness in bullying, and show how important it is to take a stand against it.
