Knights forward Bennett makes an NCAA commitment

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, proud members of the NAHL, are pleased to announce that forward Tanner Bennett has committed to play NCAA hockey at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF) for the 2016-17 season. UWRF is an NCAA Division III program, who are members of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
Bennett, 20, is in his first season playing in the NAHL and has 20 points in 38 games played to date with the Knights. The 6’1/180 lbs. native of Columbus, Indiana, has played two previous years of junior hockey, which included 19 games in the NA3HL in 2013-14 and experience in other Tier III junior leagues.
"We are extremely happy for Tanner and very proud of what he has accomplished during his time with the Knights. Tanner was with us from the start and a big part of helping us get our season get on track. He has competed very hard all season long game in and game out. He has been a great teammate and leader during his time here and a big part in helping launch our inaugural season. Tanner will always be a part of the Knight's family and we wish him all the best in Wisconsin," noted Director of Hockey Operations, Kerry Huffman.

I am thankful for my time spent playing junior hockey and look forward to joining such a rich tradition at Wisconsin River Falls." added Tanner.
Bennett is the fourth member of the NAHL’s Knights roster this season to make an NCAA commitment.
