Odessa forward Pluemer makes NCAA DI commitment

The Odessa Jackalopes, proud members of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), are pleased to announce forward Pierce Pluemer will forgo his final year of junior hockey to begin his NCAA Division I career Air Force Academy in the 2016-17.
Pluemer, 20, was scheduled to be a large offensive component on the Jackalopes roster next season and his absence will be sorely missed, but the Jacks are proud to be part of his development and wish him nothing but the best in the future.
The Phillips, Wisconsin, native appeared in 35 regular-season games for the Jacks, collecting 16 points (9-7-16), 36 PIM and a minus-one rating. In three playoff games, Pluemer notched one point (1-0-1), two PIM and a minus-one rating.
The left-handed shot began the season with the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) playing in 20 games, tallying six points (1-5-6), six PIM and a plus-one rating. Pluemer failed to score in his first 12 games as a Jack but finished off his career strong by scoring 9 goals and four assists in his final 18 games including a game winner and a plus-six rating.
