The North American Hockey League (NAHL) debuted in California on Friday night, as the Fresno Monsters faced off against the Wenatchee Wild in front of a crowd of 4,122 at Selland Arena.
NAHL commissioner Mark Frankenfeld, along with the league’s director of hockey operations Denny Scanlon, was in attendance.
“What a great night for the NAHL and the Fresno community,” said Frankenfeld. “The energy in the building was fantastic and the entire Monsters organization should be commended for a job well done.”
The Monsters lost the game, 3-2.
