The Minnesota Wilderness of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that forward Edward Lindelow has committed to play NCAA Division I college hockey at the University of Maine in Hockey East.
The 6’1/196 lbs. native of Stockholm, Sweden, recently finished his first season for the Wilderness in 2017-18. Lindelow, 20, finished the season with 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points in 57 regular season games for the Wilderness. He also had one point in four playoff games.
Lindelow was also selected to and played in the 2018 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division.
“I am thankful to have played along side great players, coaches and opponents that have helped me prepare and get to where I am today. The NAHL has helped me develop and expose me to NCAA schools. It’s been a great ride with the Wilderness organization and I can’t thank them enough for all they have done. I’m excited to be a Black Bear,” said Lindelow.
Wilderness Assistant Coach Michael Benedict had this to say about Lindelow’s recent commitment… “We could not be any happier for Edward and his commitment to the University of Maine. He was a great player for the Wilderness and will have success at the next level. I know that playing NCAA Division I Hockey was a goal for Edward and I am happy that he was able to accomplish it. We would like to wish him the best of luck next season."
