NAHL accepting applications for second Midget Showcase

FRISCO, TEXAS - The North American Hockey League announced today that it is accepting applications for the season's second tournament in the NAHL Midget Showcase Series, which will be held December 13-16, 2007 at The Summit Center in Chesterfield, Mo., home of the St. Louis Bandits.
A USA Hockey Tier I sanctioned event, the NAHL Midget Showcase Tournament will field twelve (12) teams at the Midget Major level and eight (8) teams at the Midget Minor level. At least one representative from every NAHL member team's coaching/recruiting staff will be in attendance.
The first Midget Showcase event, which will take place September 20-24 at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minn., in conjunction with the NAHL Showcase Tournament, will boast 30 teams.
"Our Midget Showcase in St. Louis promises to be another terrific event in terms of exposure to junior, college and professional scouts across North America," said NAHL commissioner Mark Frankenfeld.
