Lone Star 1 @ Shreveport 3 – Thanks to a 3-1 win on Sunday in the rubber match of a three game home series against Lone Star, the Shreveport Mudbugs took two of three games on the weekend to move back into sole possession of 2nd place in the South Division. After a scoreless 1st period, the Mudbugs got on the board in the 2nd period as defenseman Jacob Skolnik wired home his first goal of the season to make it 1-0. Lone Star tied the game midway through the 3rd period on a goal from Thomas Daskas. However, the Mudbugs found some late 3rd period heroics via the power play as Tim Khokhlachev scored the game-winner with just over a minute remaining and Gueorgui Feduolov would add an empty-net goal for insurance in the 3-1 win. Mudbugs goalie Maiszon Balboa made 27 saves in the win, while Seth Eisele made 33 saves in the loss. Boxscore
