Former NAHL Rookie of the Year Cotter signs NHL deal with Knights

Paul Cotter led the Blizzard in scoring during the 2016-17 regular season with 60 points, which was tied for 6th among all NAHL players and earned him NAHL Rookie of the Year honors.
Vegas Golden Knights (NHL) General Manager George McPhee announced on December 28 that the team has signed former NAHL and Brookings Blizzard forward Paul Cotter to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Cotter was selected by the Golden Knights in the fourth round (115th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft and is currently playing with the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights.
The Canton, Michigan native has recorded eight points (2 G, 6 A) to go with four penalty minutes in 12 games after joining the Knights in November.
Cotter led the Blizzard in scoring during the 2016-17 regular season with 60 points, which included 28 goals and 32 assists. His 60 points was tied for 6th among all NAHL players and earned him NAHL Rookie of the Year honors.
Cotter committed to Western Michigan right after the 2016 NAHL Showcase on September 28, 2016 during his year in the NAHL and played for the Broncos for eight games in 2018-19 before joining the Knights in the OHL.
