Austin forward Dahm makes NCAA DI commitment

The Austin Bruins of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Garrett Dahm has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Mercyhurst University. Dahm will begin play for the Mercyhurst Lakers in Atlantic Hockeyduring the 2020-21 season.
The 6’1/175 lbs. native of Swansea, Illinois, currently ranks 3rd on the team in points this season with 25, including nine goals and 16 assists. Throughout his entire NAHL career, all of which has been spent in Austin, Dahm, 18, has accumulated 36 total points in 91 games.
“It’s always been my lifelong dream to play NCAA Division I hockey”, said Dahm. “The coaching staff and players were all super nice and welcoming to me when I went on my visit. Also, the coaches believe in me very heavily to come in as a freshman and make an impact right away.”
Dahm becomes the seventh player currently on the Bruins roster to have committed. Brett Miller (RPI), Dylan Davies (RPI), Carson Riddle (Western Michigan), Che Landikusic (Lake Superior State), Arvid Henrikson (Lake Superior State), and Levi Stauber (Michigan Tech).
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Dahm played youth hockey for both the St. Louis AAA Blues and Chesterfield Falcons.
