October 25, 2019

The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Skylar Gutierrez has committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey for the University of Alaska-Anchorage in the WCHA.
It will be a return home for the 18-year-old native of Anchorage, Alaska, when Gutierrez begins his time with the Seawolves playing in his hometown.
So far during the 2019-20 season, Gutierrez, 18, has appeared in eight games for the Brahmas and recorded three points (two goals, one assist).
Before joining Lone Star, Gutierrez spent time in the NAHL with the Kenai River Brown Bears and the USHL with the Madison Capitols.
Previous to his time playing junior hockey, Gutierrez spent two seasons playing for the Alaska Oilers. He is the seventh player on the Brahmas 2019-20 roster that has secured an NCAA Division 1 commitment.
