The Wichita Falls hockey team that is set to start play in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) in the 2020-21 season are one step closer to having a name.
The team has concluded the first stage of the contest by having fans email in their suggestions for the chance to win a grand prize which includes a team jersey, two season tickets and two tickets to the NHL Winter Classic at the Cotton Bowl.
Fans are now encouraged to visit wfhockey.com and vote for their favorite team name. Voting will be open for one week, wrapping up at midnight on Thursday, November 15th.
“We are excited to wrap this contest up so we can move to the next stage of having a logo designed and choose a color scheme.” said team President Jason Rent. “The response was great; we had over a thousand name suggestions and a lot of people took the time to explain the significance that their entry meant to the community”.
The four finalists are: WARRIORS, FLAMES, REIGN, AND FALCONS
