Corpus Christi forward Ommen makes NCAA commitment

The Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League are pleased to announce that forward Logan Ommen has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of St. Thomas.
Ommen, 20, just completed his third and final season playing junior hockey, which has all been spent in the NAHL.
During the 2019-20 season, the 5’9/174 lbs. native of Bolingbrook, Illinois, spent the year with three different teams. Ommen began the season with the Janesville Jets and later would move onto play for the Jamestown Rebels. Ommen then finished the season with the IceRays.
Overall in 36 games played during the 2019-20 season, Ommen recorded 11 points. That included his most successful stint of the season with the IceRays where he posted five points in 12 games played.

Ommen made his NAHL debut during the 2016-17 season with the Janesville Jets. Overall in 138 career NAHL games, Ommen posted 45 points.
“Logan is an experienced three-year veteran of the NAHL and has proven to be a very productive reliable player for us. He has developed a game that he can bring into St. Thomas and help them. We are excited for Logan,” said IceRays head coach Nate Weossner.
