“I am beyond excited for this opportunity to study and play hockey at Long Island University. Thank you to my teammates for pushing me every single day to be better. Coach Foguth, Coach Graaskamp, and Coach Murphy have helped me develop in so many ways since I arrived in Chippewa. I also want to thank my family for everything they have done for me so I could achieve this opportunity and thank my host families for welcoming me to Chippewa with open arms (Kinderman’s and Seubert’s),” said Cox.
“The Steel organization is happy for Spencer and his family for this opportunity. He has worked hard every day since arriving in Chippewa to achieve his goal of committing to a Division 1 hockey program. Long Island University is getting a great player and teammate, we look forward to watching him at the next level,” stated Steel Head Coach Carter Foguth.
