Brahmas edge Jacks in a shootout on Thursday
Logan Tobias had the shootout-winner in a 4-3 win on Thursday.
Lone Star 4 @ Odessa 3 (SO) – The Brahmas came from behind and erased a 3-1 deficit with two goals in the 3rd period to take the game to overtime and shootout, where they eventually beat the Jackalopes, 4-3.
The Brahmas took a 1-0 lead in the 1st period thanks to a goal from Connor Gallagher, which was his second goal of the season.
Odessa then scored three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead as Nick Ahern and John Wojciechowski scored goals in the 2nd period and Dayne Hoyord added a goal early in the 3rd period.
Later in the 3rd period, the Brahmas would tie the game with two goals less than two minutes apart from Matt McQuade and Dylan Smith.
After a scoreless overtime, the Brahmas took the extra point in the shootout as Logan Tobias scored the only goal of the combined six shooters.
Arthur Smith made 23 saves in the win, while William Proctor made 43 saves in the shootout loss.
