Shreveport defenseman Heyde makes NCAA commitment

The Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Trenten Heyde has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Heyde, 20, just completed his second and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 5’10/165 lbs. native of Grayson, GA, appeared in 59 games during the 2021-22 regular season and recorded 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists).
During the 2020-21 Mudbugs Championship season, Heyde appeared in 42 games during the regular season and recorded 14 points (1 goal, 13 assists). He also played in 10 playoff games as the Mudbugs won their second Robertson Cup National Championship.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Heyde played high school hockey in Georgia for Peachtree Ridge High.
