Kenai River goalie Wallstrom makes NCAA DI commitment

The Kenai River Brown Bears of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects goaltender Nils Wallstrom has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for American International College.
Wallstrom, 19, is in his second season of playing junior hockey overall and first season playing in the NAHL. The 6’3/185 lbs. native of Skellefteå, Sweden, has been one of the busiest goaltenders in the NAHL this season.
Wallstrom has appeared in 38 games, which ranks 3rd in the NAHL, and posted a 19-15-3 record, complete with a 3.01 goals against average and a .916 save percentage. He has also faced the 2nd most shots in the NAHL this season (1,312).
Wallstrom has been named the NAHL’s Midwest Division Star of the Week three times this season. He was also selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Wallstrom played in Sweden for Skellefteå AIK.
