Lone Star forward Hjelm makes NCAA commitment
The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Kaden Hjelm has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Bethel University.
Hjelm, 20, is in his second and final season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’0/170 lbs. native of Omaha, NE, has six points in 20 games played with the Brahmas this season.
Helm made his NAHL debut with the Kenai River Brown Bears during the 2021-22 season, recording 14 points in 59 regular season games.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Hjelm spent three seasons playing in the NAPHL. Two of those with the Northstar Knights 18U team from 2019-21, and one with the Omaha AAA 15U team in 2017-18.
