The Lone Star Brahmas of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects defenseman Ryan Prewitt has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for Stonehill College.
Prewitt, 20, is in his second season of playing in the NAHL and third season of junior hockey overall. The 6’0/181 lbs. native of Abington, MA, has had his best career season so far in 2022-23 with 20 points (3 goals, 17 assists) in 53 games played to date.
In 107 games for the Lone Star Brahmas, Prewitt has produced 33 points in two seasons with 5 goals and 28 assists. In addition to his contributions to the Brahmas, Prewitt added a goal for Team South at the 2023 Top Prospects Tournament last month in Cranberry Township, PA.
“We are very excited that Ryan committed to play NCAA Division I hockey. He is well-deserving and earned his spot with one of the newest schools in Division One,” said Brahmas Head Coach and GM Dan Wildfong.
Prewitt also played part of the 2019-20 season in the NAPHL for the New England Generals 18U team.
