The Northeast Generals, proud members of the NAHL, are to announce that Top Prospects forward Jake LaRusso has committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey at Stonehill College.

His numbers put him high a top of the Generals record books. His 30 goals are a franchise record in a single season. He also holds top 5 honors in Points Per Game (1.08) – 3rd. And his 57 points is good for 5th all time for the Northeast Generals. In addition to leading the Generals in several categories Jake is also 6th in the league in goals and 11th in the league in points.
LaRusso was selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the East Division team.
LaRusso has appeared in 220 career NAHL regular season games which ranks 5th all-time in the 48-year history of the league. In those 220 career NAHL games, he has recorded 150 points (63 goals, 87 assists).
“Jake has been great on and off the ice since Matt Dibble made the trade early in the year. He is a player we both have coveted for years. I have known Jake for many years, first coaching against him and then through Roc City Elite Summer Program. He is a great kid that fit in right away to our culture on and off the ice. We are so excited to watch Jake play close to us next year. I think Stonehill has done a fantastic job recruiting to gear up for their first official Division 1 season and Jake will be a huge addition to the program. We are extremely excited for Jake,” said Head Coach Bryan Erikson.
Added General Manager Matt Dibble, “I am happy for Jake. I have known Jake for 6 years and have seen him grow as a man and player. He is a great player, teammate, and friend. I look forward to seeing him help build the newly division one Stonehill program.”
Prior to playing in the NAHL, LaRusso played in the NAPHL during the 2017-18 season for the New Jersey Jr. Titans 15U team, where he recoded 28 points in 12 games played that season and was named to the All-NAPHL 16U 1st Team.
