Bismarck forward Chmelevski makes NCAA commitment
The Bismarck Bobcats of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Nico Chmelevski has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
Chmelevski, 20, just completed his third and final season playing in the NAHL, which was all spent with the Bobcats. The 5’10/170 lbs. native of Northville, MI, served as team captain and appeared in 26 games during the 2022-23 regular season and recorded 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists).
During the 2021-22 season, Chmelevski appeared in 48 games during the regular season and recorded 23 points (8 goals, 15 assists).
During his first season in the NAHL in 2020-21. He put up 10 points in 37 games played.
Overall in his three seasons, Chmelevski appeared in 111 career NAHL regular season games and posted 43 points. He also played in 11 Robertson Cup Playoff games and had six points.
Prior to playing for the Bobcats, Chmelevski played youth hockey for Belle Tire, the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies, and Victory Honda.
