Fairbanks forward Herzberg makes NCAA commitment
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Tyler Herzberg has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Herzberg, 21, just completed his third and final season playing for the Ice Dogs in the NAHL. The 6’0/174 lbs. native of Milwaukee, WI, had his best career statistical season in 2022-23, recording 36 points (13 goals, 23 assists) in 60 games played.
Herzberg was also selected to and played in the 2023 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament for the Midwest Division team.
During the 2021-22 season, he recorded 17 points in 50 games played.
During his rookie season in 2020-21, he posted 23 points in 40 games played.
Overall in 150 career NAHL regular season games, Herzberg recorded 76 points.
Prior to playing for Fairbanks in the NAHL, Herzberg played for Team Wisconsin and high school hockey for the University School.
