Philadelphia forward Casper makes NCAA commitment
The Philadelphia Rebels of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are pleased to announce that forward Carter Casper has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of New England.
Casper, 20, just finished his second and final season playing in the NAHL. The 6’3/201 lbs. native of Chicago, IL, appeared in 36 regular season games for the Rebels during the 2022-23 season and recorded 11 points (7 goals, 4 assists).
During the 2021-22 season, Casper began the season with the Minnesota Magicians, but joined the Jamestown Rebels after two games. While with the Rebels, he had a good rookie campaign, recording 19 points (5 goals, 14 assists) in 38 games played.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, Casper played three seasons in the NAPHL for the Des Moines Buccaneers AAA organization.
During this 2020-21 season, he recorded 24 points in 16 NAPHL games for the 18U team.
During the 2019-20 season, he appeared in 12 games for the 18U team and recorded 18 points. He also made his NAHL debut that season, appearing in one game with the Lone Star Brahmas.
During the 2018-19 season, he appeared in four games with the Iowa Wild 16U team and recorded two points.
