NAHL Weekend Preview

The NAHL is back in action this weekend as the October schedule continues with 29 games on the schedule for Friday through Sunday.
There were three more NCAA Division I commitments this week, which brings the current 2023-24 season total to 94 players in the NAHL who have made commitments.
This weekend in the Central, two teams put their extended four-game winning streaks on the line as the 1st place Austin Bruins look to keep their winning ways going in Aberdeen against the Wings, while the Bismarck Bobcats look to extend their four-game streak on the road against St. Cloud. The other series as Minot in North Iowa to face a Bulls team who has lost six in a row.
The hottest team in the East, the 1st place Maryland Black Bears, are on the road against the Maine Nordiques, who are looking to snap a small losing skid. The New Hampshire Mountain Kings have a busy weekend as they host Philadelphia on Friday and Saturday and then make the short trip to Maine on Sunday. The 2nd place Northeast Generals look to continue their momentum from a win on Wednesday as they host Danbury for two games. The final series has New Jersey in Johnstown, with both teams looking to snap small losing skids. Rochester is idle.
In the Midwest, the battle for the milk can continues as the 1st place Janesville Jets have a home-and-home series against the Chippewa Steel, who have won five straight games. The Springfield Jr. Blues return home still looking for their first win as they host the Wisconsin Windigo. The Minnesota Wilderness are in Alaska to take on Kenai River on Friday night and Anchorage on Saturday night. Fairbanks is idle.
In the South, a big 2nd place battle goes down in Oklahoma as the Warriors host the El Paso Rhinos with both teams tied with 14 points. The 1st place Lone Star Brahmas have won four straight and are on the road to face the Colorado Grit. The Shreveport Mudbugs look to keep pace with the South leaders as they host the Corpus Christi IceRays. The final series has the Odessa Jackalopes making the short roadtrip to face the Amarillo Wranglers. New Mexico is idle.
