Rhinos beat Ice Wolves on Tuesday, 5-2

El Paso forward Frank Tafelski had two goals and an assist in a 5-2 win on Tuesday.
New Mexico 2 @ El Paso 5 – The El Paso Rhinos scored four goals in the 3rd period and got two goals and an assist from Frank Tafelski in a 5-2 home win over the New Mexico Ice Wolves on Tuesday night.
Tafelski would get the Rhinos on the board first as he converted on a turnover in the New Mexico zone and scored an unassisted shorthanded goal to make it 1-0.
The Ice Wolves took a 2-1 lead with a pair of goals in the 2nd period from Tyler Pfister and Ryan Johnson.
In the 3rd period, the Rhinos would seize control thanks to three goals in a four-minute span as Eddie Shepler, Bradley Walker, and Tafelski all found the back of the net to make it a 4-2 game. Later in the period, AJ Reed would add an insurance goal to make it 5-2.
Kael DePape made 14 saves in the win, while Jackson Fuller made 31 saves in the loss.
