Brown Bears and Jets win on Thursday in Alaska

Janesville forward Haden Kruse had four points in an 8-2 win on Thursday night.
Springfield 2 @ Kenai River 4 – Brown Bears forward Jackson Ebbott had a hat-trick and Dylan Contreras picked up three assists as Kenai River beat Springfield at home on Thursday night, 4-2. The Brown Bears jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st period with a pair of goals from Ebbott. In the 2nd period, the Jr. Blues made it a 2-1 game on a goal from Andon Coles. However, Ebbott would strike again for his hat-trick to make it 3-1 and then Carter Gillen scored before the period was over to make it 4-1. Anthony Ruklic had the other goal for the Jr. Blues. Conor Sullivan picked up the win in goal, while JJ Cataldo took the loss.
Janesville 8 @ Fairbanks 2 – The Jets scored three goals in both the 2nd and 3rd periods and got a four-point night from Haden Kruse in a convincing 8-2 win in Fairbanks over the Ice Dogs, who lost their sixth straight game. The score was 2-1 for the Jets after one period with Merril Steenari and Ikki Kogawa scoring for Janesville with Kyle Rohrer scoring for Fairbanks. Janesville then made it 5-1 with 2nd period goals from Christian Venticinque, Garrett Frazer, and Samuel Sisik. In the 3rd period, Kruse scored two goals and Grady Gallatin added a goal to make it an 8-2 final. Ian Norkevicus had the other goal in the Ice Dogs loss. Jets goalie Jan Kasal made 40 saves in the win.
