Chippewa goalie White makes NCAA DI commitment
The Chippewa Steel of the North American Hockey League (NAHL) are proud to announce that goaltender Ajay White has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey for the University of St. Thomas in the CCHA.
White, 17, is in his first season playing junior hockey in the NAHL. The 6’3/185 lbs. native of Bryn Mawr, PA, currently has a 5-4-0 record in nine games played to date with a 2.93 goals against average and a .906 save percentage.
“I am extremely excited and proud to announce my commitment to play Division I hockey at the University of St. Thomas. I’d like to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and everyone else who helped me reach this achievement,” said White.
Prior to playing in the NAHL, White played youth hockey for both the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers and Saint Joseph’s Prep.
He is the fifth player on the 2023-24 Steel roster who is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey.
